Where indoor pools shine in providing a wide-range of amenities, outdoor pools compensate with their prime spot underneath the sun. Cool yourself off from the blazing heat by jumping into the refreshing water of the Sunnyside Outdoor Pool. Similar to all the outdoor pools in Surrey, admission to Sunnyside Pool is free.  In addition to the pool itself, Sunnyside also houses softball diamonds, tennis courts, sports fields and a playground making this the perfect place to enjoy the summer weather. Sporting a newly renovated waterpark, South Surrey Athletic Park is a great way to enjoy the refreshing water without having to jump into a full-fledged pool. Featuring over 6 water spraying contraptions, this water park is guaranteed to have kids busy for a long time. Additionally, this spray park is fully fenced-in to provide all parents with peace of mind. If it’s warmer than 20°C, you can activate the water system with push buttons. Furthermore, this summer destination is also the home to other outdoor activities.  You can play soccer, basketball, tennis, football, baseball the list goes on! Lastly, the athletic complex is located next to the Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest. This 130-hectare forest houses a variety of animals and most importantly, large trees providing ample shade.
